Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU) successfully got the bid to host the 6th International Plant Phenotyping Symposium (IPPS) on October 2, 2018.
NAU and its research organization Plant Phenomics Research Center (PPRC) erupted with joy as announcing the winner at the 5th IPPS in Adelaide. The 6th IPPS will be held from 23-26 October 2019 in Nanjing , the capital city of Jiangsu Province of China.
As one of the earliest institutions of higher education in agriculture in China, NAU initiated its four-year bachelor programs in agriculture in 1914, cooperating with Cornell University by both sharing textbooks and mutually recognizing learning credits. Today, NAU is a national key university under administrative supervision of the Ministry of Education, China. NAU is among the top 1‰ institutions in the fields of Agricultural Science and Plant & Animal Science according to the Thomson Reuters Essential Science Indicators.
In China, over the past five years, NAU is the pioneer on plant phenotyping research. NAU launched the Plant Phenomics Research Center (PPRC) in 2017, which is the first integrated phenotyping center in China.
